Default Nissan Frontier or Suzuki Equator?

There was an interesting post at AllPickupTrucks.com entitled “Should You Buy a Nissan Frontier or a Suzuki Equator?”. The author claims that both trucks are exactly the same and that “the design and quality of plastics easily dates back to the "Friends" era”. A point he raised that’s worth noting is that the fuel economy estimates for the 4-wheel drive V6 is as low as 14 city /19 highway, which he says negates the argument that the compact trucks are much more fuel efficient than the large pickups.

Bottomline? The author suggests not buying any of the two trucks, ditch the entire compact truck segment and instead, choose a full-size truck. I personally disagree with the author because I think there’s a lot more to the compact trucks than he’s making it seem. I think compact pickups have a rightful place in the automotive industry.

Got anything to say? You might want to head on over to SuzukiTruckForum and NissanTruckForum and tell everyone what you think. We created these forums so that everyone can swap ideas and share their insights on anything and everything related to the Suzuki Equator and the Nissan Frontier and Nissan Titan respectively so please don’t hesitate to join us!
