If a ranger can Haul 5000 pounds I would be all over it, But Nope.

Thats is why the Mahindra appealed to me

I don't need the towing ability, I don't really need to carry over a ton of weight in the back either. Right now you can get a great deal on a new 2010 Ranger- it varies between mid 13k to low 15k for a standard cab model. I'm checking into that option now, I was hoping to compare the Ranger against the Mahindra but if they stick with their 22k entry price and no launch in sight, it may push me to a very practical decision.

My 2008 Ranger is a 3/4 ton. I carry 1200# on a regular basis and you can't tell its there. I added one of the progressive leaf spring kits, its a Jewell. Handles better empty to.Now if only I could add a few MPG's..

Ummm, the Ranger w/ V6 has been rated to tow up to ~5900 lbs (depending on type and equipment) and carry ~12-1400 lbs (short bed) for a very long time...
(TR20 can tow ~5000 and haul 2750lb)

Interesting, But can it replace my Versa's MPG and Passenger capacity at the same time like the T40?

I'm trying to replace 2 vehicles with one.

That being said, no 4x4 available with standard cab, and with equivalent equipment, in a crew-cab, the list is pushing 25K and still only rated about 17 mph combined.

My Ranger 4.0 get around 16 mpg loaded and with an empty bed 19 mpg but when I go out of WV I get 22 mpg loaded and 24 mpg unloaded.

ya never said that part...

You can >sorta< put 5 people into a Ranger... :whisting:
The TR40 doesn't carry 2750 lbs and the "close to 30" mpg highway (the quote is from the M&M TR catalog) is for the 4x2
