More like about 2 ft longer with the bigger Transit, and the European does come in AWD but I'm sure some Ford exec. will decide that we don't need AWD here or the diesel version...If I wanted something that big and expensive I would just buy a Sprinter..

I deal with businesses day in and out (I'm a commercial lender) and I have yet to hear a complaint about the Sprinter, other than its initial price but everyone I have talked to would buy it again if given the choice.

They have been a big hit here in Boise.

I've never heard a bad thing about the Sprinter either, everyone who has them seems to like them. It would be a little to the side of overkill for me. That's what drew me to Mahindra , the size/ fuel efficiency and price. The Transit would work great but it about 2-4 inches to short to get my Suzuki Vinson into. It's a shame that on a Mahindra truck site all we talk about is other trucks . Which is due to Mahindra not having good communications with prospective customers . In this (so called) bad economy you would think they would be going the extra mile to get more info out about this truck??????

I would like to read the DEFINITIVE engine specs. One advertiser's site says 300 ft.lbs.of torque, another says 236.If they don't get at least 300 ft.lbs.of torque out of the 2.2L,it's pretty much useless to me,and I don't see how it would yank 5k lbs. either.

As the months have crawled by, the specs on these trucks have crept presumably toward a more accurate picture of their real capabilities. Torque figures used to be quoted around 300, but now much lower. MPG was higher than recent estimates, MSRP had been mentioned as around $15,000 . . . all now just memories. The official site and its spec sheet does say 236 ft. lbs. of torque, and I would figure that is probably right. It doesn't say at what RPM that occurs, but it is surely a sight better than what I've got right now. If you need more than that maybe you shouldn't be looking at a compact pickup, IMHO.
