An official Republican fund raising document said to stroke the egos of the big contributors and to scare the little people into contributing money. You can bet they are scaring you for your vote also.

The only neutral source says it will save money:

Obama's health care plan cuts deficit, CBO concludes - Politics AP - MiamiHerald.com

All of this fear mongering by the Republicans is one reason why I call myself a reformed Republican.

If you do not have the money to buy a gas guzzling truck but instead must consider a Mahindra, you are probably shooting yourself in the foot opposing this health care bill since you are the one who will benefit.

Wow, here I go on business travel for a day, and look at all the commotion! I can blame Congress this time and be correct for a change...
But wrt gnorthern's thought above (and w/ all due respect), I DO drive a <fuel> guzzling truck and am absolutely not forced into considering a Mahi-Mahi (it sorta looks like a fish after a fashion... one of those deep-water never-seen-light jobs) and I also oppose the bill (sure, no one asked but I have nothing else to do this moment except to up my post-whore count...). I have industry insiders in the 6 point sphere and know the gory details , neither I nor my family will benefit. In my admitedly wacky and distorted world-view, Dick is right, Andy is right, TX is right.

Looks like the Miami Herald has lied to you, once again.

"
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional budget scorekeepers say a Medicare fix that Democrats included in earlier versions of their health care bill would push it into the red.

The Congressional Budget Office said Friday that rolling back a programmed cut in Medicare fees to doctors would cost $208 billion over 10 years. If added back to the health care overhaul bill, it would wipe out all the deficit reduction, leaving the legislation $59 billion in the red.

The so-called doc fix was part of the original House bill. Because of its high cost, Democrats decided to pursue it separately. Republicans say the cost should not be ignored. Congress has usually waived the cuts to doctors year by year."

But thanks for playing.

What upsets me the most is the "tactics" being used to try to pass the bill. From personal presidential visits, ignoring the wants of the people, and unconstitutional acts [violating bicameralism in Congress], it feels like the bill is going to be forced down American throats.

Right idea, wrong solution. That simple.
I agree 100%! Well put...
