Register to stop seeing this ad! Jay,How "big" are the trucks? I've not seen one sitting next to anything for relative size. Are they about the size of Ford Ranger? Or are they about as big as the new Toyota Tacoma's/Dodge Dakota's? I'd love to see a picture of one sitting next to a full size pickup or next to a Ford ranger to show it's relative size. |

While it's true the overall dimensions are listed on the spec sheet, it doesn't really give you a sense of size. I parked my truck (1993 Nissan single cab) next to the TR40 for comparison. The TR40 was bigger in all dimensions, most noticeable was height. The hood is higher, and the roof is higher. The length was a bit longer, but the difference was in the cab. The width was pretty close, it looks a little wider but still narrow. As for actual measurements, the Mahi is 32" longer, 5" higher, and 3" wider than the old Nissan, which of course is smaller than any new truck by (it seems) about 50%. General impression is tall and a little narrow.

Ok. So lets see. I took the dimensions from the Mahindra and Taco pages, cropped them down to the bumpers, made one inch equal to one pixel and multiplied the length in pixels by 4 to make it easier to see. I'll do more later

I think the comparisons will have to wait until they can be sitting side by side. Those pictures make a regular cab TR20 look 3 feet longer than the Taco.
So long as it will fit in my garage AND I can open my doors once its in there I'll be satisfied. I do wish there was a longer bed option for the TR40 since that is likely the truck for me. |

Well, this might be helpful.
![]() I sucked the three images into Photoshop, cut out the backgrounds and laid them on top of each other. I used the front wheel as my reference point and then animated them on top of each other. If it's right, the Mahindra is longer than both of them. Although something tells me the size of the Tacoma is off a little. -Graydon |
