Register to stop seeing this ad!

as far as geared right, the engineers that drove one form California to Atlanta a couple of months back said that with 4 passengers and their gear in the back that it down shifted once through the Rocky Mountains. I think that should answer the gearing questions.

Not to be a nit picker, but having ridden my bicycle across the US I can state that the Rockys are nothing compared the mountains of W. VA, PA and NC. I would like to see how many shifts it takes to get to the top of the Blue Ridge from the side.
