Ohy so now it was CAFE that they were quoting?! Next are they goign to report based on the Japanese testing which would likely put it over 40 mpg?

The only oney they can legally advertise on in the US is the EPA published results.

x2 on the EPA - people don't give a damn about CAFE numbers - that is a corporate thing only.

And IF those are the CAFE values (which seems about right) M&M could be in trouble. Basing on a 60/40 city to highway split to determine the average that is used, that comes out to about 26.3 mpg. However, the new standards for light trucks is based on footprint - and they would need to hit about 27.5 given all their sales will be on the same footprint. They are skating a pretty thin line in being non-compliant - and that will cost them.

Fvck m&m and their lying ways.Funny how the epa ratings on the vehicle stickers is damn close to reality.......well here anyways.In india who knows how they finger things out.Never trust a country that don't eat cheeseburgers.
