We're seeing a trend here. Bannon filed a lawsuit against Mahindra yesterday on similar grounds as GV did in July. Basically, Mahindra told Bannon in August (in an email) that they don't have a car ready for them to sell and haven't spoken with them since. Bannon is assuming that Mahindra wants to dissolve their license so they can use other means of distribution. Sounds familiar.

If you follow Reva news, you know that Mahindra launched the Revai in India last week. I suspect that was the motivation for Bannon to file the suit.

So what happens when GV or Bannon wins their law suit? Can they actually force Mahindra to follow through with the terms of the agreement or can they only hope for recouping their investment to date? If Mahindra doesn't stand a chance of winning in court, why did they enter into these agreements- have circumstances changed or will they pull the rabbit out of the hat? Maybe the two deals are tied together in that if they go forward with the one deal on our soil they will be more exposed in the other.

This article appeared in our local paper today:
Alpharetta importer ratchets up legal action against Indian automaker | ajc.com

It does indeed make references to franchisees and Georgia state law.

From the legal documents that I did read,(2 pages worth) it seems that the franchisee's in those cases were at fault, and was found to be so.However,I still do not see the connection to gv vs m&m.GV was to establish a dealer network and put in all the stuff (technical term) that goes along with that type of venture. It appears to me that GV did exactly what they had contracted to do.It is my uneducated yet dumbass opinion that m&m has grossly failed to do their part of the deal. So,what does all that mean? How th' hell would I know,I ain't no lawyer,LMAO.Merry xmas everyone.

One thing is clear, Mahindra is a dead deal... Maybe we should be focused on using our numbers to lobby another manufacture to make a simple ,small diesel truck??If that is possible under current regs.. We could pick the next best bet and swamp them with e-mails... Just a thought. Who do you guys think would be our next best chance?? Any ideas??
