Hmmm, I wonder if Tata will make it to the US before Mahindra. Aren't they supposed to be bringing that Nano sometime soon?

It's my understanding that when they bring in the nano it's supposed to replace bic lighters.

Based on what I've read about them, probably not far off...

Flick my Tata just doesn't have the same ring as Flick my Bic. Might get you punched in mixed company too...

Tata is already here if you count Jaguar and Land Rover, but the India-bilt stuff could be a ways off. It's looking like Mahindra's Reva electric car may end up beating the TR pickups.

I believe the real reason for M&M's actions are deeper (and more global) than their tiff with GV. I am willing to bet that making trucks for the US market has been at the bottom of their to-do list for a couple of years now. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

In truth,I would be completely surprised if m&m EVER brings in small diesel trucks for the American market. If they did,and they turn out to be yugos in drag,it would cost them a fortune in warranty stuff, and mess up their reputation here worse then it already is.

I hate to say it, but I agree- the way things look right now this truck launch has been called off, not delayed.
