It looks like Mahindra is not interested in coming to a reasonable agreement with Global Vehicles, so it looks like Federal court is next. Has anybody seen mention of when the court date is? The name of the case is:
Global Vehicles USA Inc. v. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., 10-CV-1818 Since Mahindra has claimed they are not subject to the laws of this country, maybe they won't abide by the decision of the court. It's hard to see how this is working to the advantage of either party, unless Mahindra is ill prepared to produce extra quantities of vehicles- if they are making more profit on the ones they sell in India and parts shortages prevent them from expanding production, then why not delay things to try and get a better deal? There also had been mention that they have just undergone the "first round" of arbitration- I'd say there's no point in continuing that route. |
