These car and truck dealers here don't want to have to deal with some typical Indian company jerking their chains every time they try to get something done, they need an American company to run interference. The prospective customers want to see a reputable company rooted on American soil that will be there in case there's a situation with a dealer. If Mahindra buys out Global Vehicles or sets up their own company, that could be seen as a dangerous deal to get involved in- dealer or customer, the only thing backing up the front line would be Mahindra & Mahindra- the same company that has shown everyone that they don't care who they screw over as long as there's a profit in it. People in this country haven't figured out yet that dealing with an Indian company is no better than dealing with a Chinese company- and that should be a scary thought. M&M needs Global Vehicles in place to be able to sell trucks to Americans; don't buy them out, let them do their job and if GV makes a lot of money in the process, they're worth it.
