I think this is what some of us suspected for awhile. I work for a Fortune 500 company and I am familiar with how manipulative big corporations can act sometimes.

It is interesting that the launch date is still stated as being late this year.

Don't hold your breath waiting for it.With the track record m&m has been exhibiting for the last year,it just might be late 2011

This sucks. Now that this has turned into a big soap opera, this means I will keep coming back to this forum even though I am more convinced then ever I will not see any trucks. Who said I keep coming back becuase it is like watching a car wreck? They were right.

My bet of what the end result will show:
Global Vehicles does all of the work to show that the vehicle will sell. Now that it looks like Mahinda can make a lot of money, they want Gobal Vehicles to sell out cheap. Mahindra will win becuase they would not do something that would give them so much bad publicity unless they were certain they will win.

Other bets of what is going on behind the scenes?

Yeah, from what I've been seeing I'd say this is a pretty fair assumption of what Mahindra would like to see play out. I really hope that GV wins this though. After years of work, it would be nice to see some reward. Interesting enough, it sounds like both sides are still holding on to their December release date.

When I found out about the upcoming clean diesel pickup coming here several years ago I decided I had to had one. This would be my second small diesel truck. So the longer I waited, the more delays/excuses/lawsuits etc.Bottom line,if the m&m tr whatevers became available tomorrow,I will wait instead for Jeep to make what I want....or even Ford. But never will I spend one red cent towards anything mahindra after this crap, stall tactics, real or whatever delays etc.As I've said before,m&m has zero credibility with me.I don't believe in their warranty because I don't believe they have any integrity as a business. Why would I or anybody want to deal with a company like that?

(Jones said he's heard a couple of reasons why the trucks aren't here yet. They company had such a big year that selling in the U.S. took a back seat.

And he's heard that they're trying to get everything right so that they aren't in a position to recall trucks as soon as they go up for sale.) So either we were given the back seat treatment or they are concerned that the truck is a recall waiting to happen..
