We all know M&M had discussion for using IH facilities in both Ohio and Chatham. I just can't help but wonder between the new platform coming out, the IH partnerships in India, and the need to get around the chicken tax, that M&M wants to ditch GV. Wouldn't be terribly surprised if they wouldn't use some of IH distribution as well.

But this is all conspiracy theory thinking anyhow. M&M has missed a major opportunity in market timing.

Jim

Hey Jim,well the longer m&m wait, the more they stay silent, they not only missed a great opportunity to dominate a truck segment here, they lost any cred they might have had, imho.I wouldn't be surprised that they will wait and market a new platform instead of what they agreed to do,and when they agreed to bring them to market.Has anybody seen any pics of the new platforms? Or specs?

Ford F150s are not manufactured in Mexico. Dodge Regular cabs are. Fords new 6.7L diesel is.
My 02 F150 FX4 was most certainly made in Mexico.Had the sticker on the drivers door.I don't remember looking where my 05 FX4 was produced when I had it.

And still no word from Ford on whether they will redesign/repower the Ranger,or go into the F100 thing they were talking about.Geez.......I thought area 51 was great at being silent. They don't hold a candle to our auto makers.
