U.S. Distributor Sues India's Mahindra Over Pickup Truck Deal

GlobalAtlanta.com reports that Mahindra's US distributer Golbal Vehicles USA INC is suing Mahindra & Mahindra over the delays.

Check out U.S. Distributor Sues India's Mahindra Over Pickup Truck Deal

I feel this means the chances of seeing Mahindra trucks in US is grim.

It sure doesn't sound hopeful. OTOH, at least someone's trying to do something to make M&M get off their duff.

Whoa! This is a great find! A possible bummer(but maybe a good thing??), but definitely worthy news. I wonder if Chris will be writing about this...

For me, the pooch is officially screwed.

There is no way in hell I am going to buy a truck from an organization THAT screwed up.

I have better things to do with my life than to toss money at a deal like this!

Yeah, I don't blame you. I hope they will learn their lesson and get their act together...however, that might have about as much chance of happening as Microsoft

It's been good to see that GV appears to have been pretty legit through this. It's the parent company that's giving us grief.

Well.......that article said it all for me,and hell will be completely frozen before m&m ever sees a dime of my money.I will wait, impatiently but wait I will for a diesel JK.Kudos to GV for finally taking m&m to court.I'm not sure what kind of crap they get away with in hinduland, but it won't wash here and I'm glad to see them on the hotseat.I have always had serious reservations about the trucks they wanted to sell here, given they only have a limited name in tractor sales in the US."If it seems too good to be true......." They certainly had the opportunity to really shine too.

I've been thinking about this lawsuit a bit more. Here is my perspective. Just one poor white guys opinion.

For sure, Mahindra has done a few things to leave a bad taste in our mouths, and this doesn't help. However, big companies sue each other and work together all the time. We see this all the time in the tech world. It doesn't necessarily mark the end of their relationship.

GV is probably hoping that this gets Mahindra more motivated. Doesn't mean that their relationship is over or that Mahindra won't be great when they get here.

If this were Ford, Dodge or Chevy trying to break into the US market for the first time, I don't necessarily know that anything would be different. Ford, Dodge and Chevy aren't super heroes. We've had to pay for Chevy and Dodge's survival with our own tax dollars. And Ford has a reputation for going after little guys for their domain names like Mahindra did with Chris. Ford has gone after me and taken down other small guys like me for setting up sites that promote them. Companies like them hire big law firms that don't give a damn about anyone, including the companies they represent.

So in my opinion, there are not any manufacturers better than the other. The thing I'm most concerned about is that if they do make it here, that they have a good product.

Anyways, that's my opinion. Not trying to defend them, I know that most of you have waited longer than me. This could help nudge Mahindra in the right direction. We'll have to see.

Obviously they have done well with their tractor market in the US... so I'm still curious even though I'm frustrated.

Ya just knew something big and bad was going on in the background.
Damn shame. Gotta feel sorry for the dealers who put out all that cash...

So Andy, do we start a poll to guess when (or if) the trucks will actually arrive?
