Default When the kids get quiet, you'd better check on them.

You've got to figure that if the testing is complete and they haven't put in the application yet, that something else is going on. I don't buy that line "we want to make sure everything is right before we launch the trucks" as an excuse for the current delay. I'm not going to start trying to guess what's up their sleeve at M&M, but the fact is that it looks like they have something else on their to do list between "complete the EPA testing" and "apply for EPA approval". No telling what is up, but it's curious that they were forecasting a launch announcement and now silence. Like they say in the movies- "it sure is quiet around here." "Yeah, too quiet." http://mahindratruckforum.com/forums...ilies/yawn.gif

The total lack of info, the sounds of silence so to say,has me thinking I will not bother with the TR anything whenever it comes out.I have already had more then second thoughts in regards to mahindra, the further delays and total lack of communication from them kinda seals it for me.In truth,I don't believe they are ready for the american market and their silence tends to prove that to me.

Talked to a highly placed source at GV a couple days ago. They stated that they are still rolling. Mahindra has spent somewhere around 120 million to get this far, and GV around 60 million. My source assured me that they are still coming. They just aren't making anymore promises about deadlines until they are all ready. Sounded like they were getting closer.

Time to put this site to rest. Face it M&M appears to be a mess. Would you really spend $20k with them??

I guess we can compare the Mahindra with the Eco Boost F-150, both due out this fall.

How do they appear to be a mess? They are working through the EPA stuff and then we should see some trucks. Right now we just have to wait. Calling this site quits now would be foolish. Getting these trucks here is a big deal, but once they are here I think they will be huge. At least I hope

Looking forward to my test drive, whenever it may be.

I agree the wait is semi frustrating. It is impossible for all of us to know what it must take to prepare a new product for market. The way things are in the USA with safety and the ever changing enviromental regulations I could feature it being near impossible.

I have a 1990 isuzu spacecab pickup with a 2.8 turbo diesel which was imported by an outfit in California and then I did the swap from the gas engine. Makes no sense that you can import these things and install them just can't have them as a whole (half cuts or engine/transmissions only). I like my pickup but would really like the crewcab. I have no time line for how long I will wait as there are no other good offerings and my pickup will last as long as I want it to.

If they do ever arrive I am sure they will be very popular with contractors like myself. I don't need a powerhouse most times and the fuel effiency would be the most endearing quality followed by the crewcab. I hope we all get what we are waiting for but in the meanwhile I for one will give them praise for whatever effort they do put towards it rather than bashing them for missed deadlines and lack of communication. For those who think the site should be closed, where would you go to gripe?
