Question Chris, you hear anything about this?

I don't want to start any rumors unnecessarily, but a guy I know buzzed me and told me that swears that he saw a pickup fitting the general description of a TR20 tooling around Nashua NH w/ a Mahindra-like badge (no wording) in the left corner of the tailgate (like a stamping in the gate sheet metal) and the lettering "Profundo" and "DX" in chrome script on the right corner. He described the thing as being dark silver/medium gray in color w/ 4x4 badges, old-school side panels w/ cargo hooks (ala Indian market Scorpio) a tallish cab, but no air extractor behind the door. It had a straight character line down the side, definitely unlike the funky side-crease in the TR's we've seen. He didn't see the front of the thing but thought it had a camo-bra on it (like in spy shots of new vehicles). He thought it had a Michigan "manufacturer" plate on it. No other detail, it was a fairly quick encounter.
You heard anything about a different M&M truck, or something sorta similar tooling about the States?

I am sure stories like this will be popping up all over with the US spec trucks being driven not just the powertrain mules.

Probably true, but I'm not sure this was a TR, if indeed it was an M&M to begin with. TIme will tell, Nashua NH is a small town...

I could certainly test them for a couple of weeks. I need to bring in 12 yards of compost and probably 15 yards of bark for my backyard project. I could test the towing and payload ratings as well as durability for them all in about a 2 week window.

Sounds like a good idea! I did my backyard last year before I even knew about the Mahindra. Used my Dodge 2500 Cummins 456HP and 910 Ft/lbs of torque to pull a dump trailer bringing in load after load of topsoil.

I'll be borrowing my uncle's chevy 2500 for the same task. 3 loads from a 5 yard dump trailer. Then I get the enviable task of carting it all to the backyard myself with a lone wheelbarrow.

456 and 910? WOW! What did you do to it? Factory had a HO version of the '03 Cummins which produced 305 and 555. That in itself is pretty impressive...

You found me out. I decided last week to duct tape cardboard over every panel on my old Hardbody, fizz-can it grey, slap old Oldsmobile badges on it, and drive it all over New England. Did it have classic Nissan 'Lego' wheels with 33" Mud Terrain T/A's?

Okay, it wasn't me. Maybe it's the 2011, second generation pickup??? Profundo! That's a cool-ass name...
