Default Is the block iron or CGI?

Hopefully they are not 'computer generated" but compact graphite iron. Do any of the dealers know what the engine block is made of? If they chose CGI and the known timing gears the motor would last for probably 1 million miles.

Most people are saying the 2nd generation m-Hawk 2.2L is aluminum block and head. 4 valve per cylinder with gear driven DOHCs.

Agreed. I would be certain it has iron sleeves. It's funny that it's so hard to find details on the engine construction.
