I was just about to write about how ugly the Mahindra Maxximo is. But after visiting the official Mahindra Maxximo website, and watching it become a transformer, I now think it's pretty rad.

This definitely is uglier than the Gio. Maybe they pay people to take it so it's a better deal

Default Maxximo

This may be obvious, but the Maxximo looks like it is built to compete in the Kei truck segment. In Japan, this exact sized truck is very common on the streets.

You may have seen Kei trucks in the US sold as alternatives to the John Deere Gator and various ATV (including the side-by-sides) for hunting use. They are not universally street-legal and the US Government has since stopped the importation of them.

I bet they will be able to sell a lot of these trucks throughout Southeast Asia.

Wow that 2 cylinder CRD diesel sounds strange. I've ridden in similar trucks to this when I was in Japan and China years ago. Good little urban utility trucks, but scary. I can't imagine this thing could ever hope to pass U.S. crash standards.
