Register to stop seeing this ad! I'm from Syracuse, Utah (smack between Ogden & Salt Lake, Utah).I've owned several of the old Isuzu Diesel Pickups and have been waiting for a truck like this for YEARS!!! Not wanting a big 3/4 ton full size pickup just so I could get a diesel engine, I am absolutely THRILLED to see Mahindra get the guts to do this. I've known about their tractors for quite some time so it'll be interesting to see the new trucks arrive. Waiting as well with baited breath for my first chance to drive one. Graydon |

Yep, they had it then too. First time I ever saw one in person.
Embarrassingly, one of my favorites is the little recon pusher/puller aircraft. I forget what it's called, but i have always loved that little aircraft. |

@tripledriver
Yep! That's me! I think this is the toy you're talking about. Utah Biodiesel Supply - Bio Pro 190 Automated Biodiesel Processor The things rock! On the Biodiesel front, I called Mahindra about a week ago and asked them if the new trucks will be able to run on Biodiesel. They said that they won't be selling them as such. Translated means: "Are you kidding? We've got enough regulations to play with right now just GETTING the US to let us bring the darn thing into the states!" But, I'd imagine that once they're here and selling and they jump through the EPA hoops, they'll start looking at Biodiesel. I'd imagine those engines would do just fine on Bio except the regen cycle might be problematic with the DPF (like it is in other US diesels). We'll have to see. @jackson Here's hoping! I miss that old Isuzu! That thing was awesome! Between my dad & I we owned 4 of them over the years. Incredible trucks! Just flat out amazing! One of them that we owned had well over 425,000 miles on it and still ran great! Looked like garbage when we were done with it (it'd been in 2 wrecks--people hitting it, not the other way around--, been repainted a couple times, had a ton of rust on it--Utah uses LOTS of salt on their roads in the winter) but it still ran great! There's pictures of the old girl here: 1983 Isuzu Pickup This one's a 4x4 we owned: 1980 Isuzu 4x4 And then here's our latest Isuzu: 1984 Isuzu Diesel The last one was my favorite! Long bed, 5 speed, drove extremely smooth, would easiliy pull 30 MPG, just an awesome little truck....hoping the Mahindra is all that too... |

No. My guess is that it'll be one of the shuttered Chrysler dealers. There were A LOT of them shuttered.
I'm guessing the Hinkley Dodge dealership in Ogden that was shuttered might be a new Mahindra dealership, but that's just a hunch. Nothing to base it on. It looks like it's going to be a dealership in Murray though. I'll have to go through & see which Dodge dealership in Murray got the axe. I'm pretty sure Barber Brothers in Orem is going to be a Mahindra dealer. They've been doing a lot more advertising lately and they went down with a huge fight on the Chrysler gig. I'd imagine they're licking their lips to get into the "new truck dealership" action again. If I hear of anything, I'll share it here... I'll be one of the first in line waiting at one of the Utah dealerships to drive one; that's for sure. |
