For the longest time I've wanted a reliable, rugged, compact 4x4 diesel pickup.

After an old Datsun and two Ford Rangers I bought a new Toyota Tacoma.

I am still looking for a reliable, rugged, compact 4x4 diesel pickup.

The Toyota has been reliable but is not rugged, compact or diesel. It's actually sort of a toy, and not in the affectionate sense of the word.

I'm hoping the Mahindra will fit the bill but the pricing estimates are more than I'd be willing to pay for a truck with unknown reliability, track record and resale value. The looks don't bother me, nor does the interior, nor does the mix of old and new technology. I wish it wasn't urea injected but can live with that.

Anyway, I'm here to learn more and keep my ear to the ground.

Welcome,
Your wants and needs are very justifiable.
We here you.
Loud and clear.
Hopefully some auto executives can read and understand your sentiments so they can be proactive rather than Rip Van Winkles and react when it is too late.
