Default Flat Bed for the new Mahindra - Aussie style

Register to stop seeing this ad!

I introduced my self yesterday in the new member area. Seems a lot of folks have been looking for a flat bed option for the new Mahindra. I have been in some discussions over the last year about having the Ute Bed installed at the port so that customers can order them this way, directly through their dealerships, but they say they are not ready to do that step yet. Guess they are too busy just trying to get the the trucks built and imported. In any case, here are some photos of the Ute Beds we have installed in Australia. We can get the same ones going here as soon as they land the trucks. If there is enough interest, we can do a special run for Mahindra Truck Forum members. Hope I am not breaking any rules here... We did a similar deal for Dodge TDR members about 8 years ago and were able to get a volume order built due to the number of members that jumped on the wagon. Everybody wins....
Cheers,
UteMan

Default dump options

It is possible to put a dump mechanism under the Ute Bed. It takes away from that much payload, but the Mahindra has a much bigger payload than other trucks its size, so it really shouldn't be a problem. There are several US manufacturers of dump or hoist mechanisms that will work with the Ute Bed.

I have some older model Ute Beds that will fit this crew cab for about $2K plus freight, if we provide the tail lights, marker lights, etc. We usually wholesale these so retail pricing is kinda ballpark. You have to take into consideration the shipping and installation, wiring and all that. Of course I did my first Ute in my driveway with hand tools, so anybody can do it. If you were to buy one though Mahindra, once they get into the loop, it will probably be about a $3500 option when you buy the truck.

Does that help?

It is not a dump, but it can be if you want. The dump mechanism is an added weight and what ever weight you add to the truck, takes away the amount of load you can carry.

Welcome, UteMan. I have to say, those utility beds look right at home on the Mahindra. Actually, I would say that I like how it looks much better than the stock box. I believe you will make some sales!
