Register to stop seeing this ad! I was hoping to eventually pick up a Honda Shadow Phantom after my first deployment as an I love me gift, but if I do, I will def. need a tailor if I buy the TR40. Too bad they didn't have a longer wheelbase to allow for the TR40 to have that longer bed, maybe the second generation will have it...

The floor of the "cargo box" on the four door is 60.31 inches. My cruiser is 102 inches. I don't think that your HD would fit without an extender of some kind.
The 2 door is 92 inches. In as much as it is 53 inches wide, it is very possible that you could get a cruiser onboard that "cargo box" at an angle with the tailgate up. Or you could at least get one on with the tail gate down. http://www.mahindrana.com/pdf/specsheet.pdf |

The more I think about it, I guess buying a trailer will be the best thing anyway. However I don't have a place to store one and I hate to leave a $800 trailer out in the weather all year long!
Does anyone have trailer out in the weather?? |

Yes, I am first and foremost a rider before my fascination with Mahindra. Been riding since I was 10. In the garage: 1995 Ducati 900SS SP (street bike/track whore), 2002 Honda RC51 (wife’s track bike/occasional street bike), 2008 Triumph Street Triple (wife’s street bike), 1984 Honda XL350R (my old ds that I bought in 1987!). That’s what’s left after selling 4 other bikes (including my Aprilia supermoto racer) last summer.
I used to barely shove two sportbikes in the back of my ’94 Nissan King Cab 4X4 with the gate down. Tight fit, so I finally bought a trailer 6-7 years ago. Bikes would be towed by either the wife’s Xterra or a TR40. Fortunately, we usually only trailer to track days, and ride on trips. We’ll all have to either buy Enfields or wait until Bajaj and Mahindra start bringing bikes over! |

My Victory Kingpin Tour is a definite "no fitter"! But then, it won't fit in the bed of my F150 Supercrew, either! If you are worried about leaving a trailer out in the weather, I know there is at least one company that makes a folding trailer that you can hang on the wall of your garage.

I looked at the folding trailer, but it is too much ! $2000 !! I defenetly let one rotten out side and buy another another. for that much... Plus, the greatest reason is that I just don't have any more room in my garage... Too many toys, between me and my 3 boys!

My XRL is one of the reasons why I'm pretty sure a 40 will never be an option for me (that and the fact I never have more than 1 other person to haul in any vehicle).
broken record... really wish we were getting a king cab with at least a 6' bed instead of a standard cab and crew cab. |
