TxBlackKnight,

What specialty are you going for, or do they simply toss officers where ever they need them?

We fortunately get to select, however selection goes by your class rank. Smarter you are, the more likely you are to get your top choice. I was in good standing and got my first choice, so in late June I will start my training as a Field Artillery officer.

For it's hi! hi! hee!
In the field artillery,
Shout out your numbers loud and strong,
And where e'er you go,
You will always know
That the Caissons go rolling along.

A cannon cocker?
Good on you! I'm an alum of Mrs. Benning's School For Wayward Boys myself. One of the best officers I ever served under was one of your brothers.

Default Take your Mahindra to VW for service?

The trick will be to find out who's building Mahindra's motor, or if they bought the rights the VW's.
I spoke with a man at a soon-to-be Mahindra dealership recently who says they (M&M & GV) are looking at the option of using (some?) VW service centers to work on the Mahindra trucks, since they are so similar. He described it as basically a German engine. I was asking about warranty work and required maintenance, and whether the truck would have to go back to the dealership. He sounded like his location probably won't be servicing these trucks, and until numbers are there they may use this other option.

i haven't seen it listed anywhere... but my salesman at Koucerek Wausau Imports in Wausau, WI says he believes they have the franchise for this area. I haven't seen anything anywhere to confirm that, though. They are a VW / Audi dealer too.
