Default Nice place to hangout

Thanks for the pix. Looks like a local hangout spot for 4x4 folks. Some beach.

Who knows, that may be as close as we get to a TR40.

Good luck........J

Those are pretty sick, I am really interested in seeing what one of these can do offroad. Just have to sit and drive one, whenever that happens...

Yes, those photos were taken in the Northern part of Brazil. Some great beaches and lots of dunes out there...

I like the air intake, but wonder what it'd do to mileage.

I couple of guys in Brazil told me that the change a "chip" to the engine, and it really brings the motor to live. They say that is a night and day difference. In fact, that was what the guy who got the 3rd place in the Brazilian "Drakar" race did to his Mahindra truck. I don't know much about this chip... not mechanically encline.
Does anyone knows what he is talking about???
Thanks

My Golf TDi is chipped. It means that someone had reprogrammed the cpu that handles the engine. In my VW's case he unsoldered the computer chip put it into a purpose build computer and changed the programming for acceleration, mpg, fuel delivery etc.

The change was noticeable. More power, faster acceleration. MPG stayed about the same. It was about $300. It was my car's birthday present.

That guy in the Brazil "Dakar" was driving so slow it didn't look like he needed any more than stock power.

David, those are sweet photos! Love the bumper with winch mounted in the middle! Any idea who is making performance chips, the snorkle, or winch mount for those trucks?

No, not sure, but when the time comes, I can find the answer to all of those things, maybe even get some of that staff shipped here to us, if needed, however historically, any parts there are more expensive than here. Friends in Brazil often ask me to send them all sort of things, due to price.
