Register to stop seeing this ad! They never gave a clue as to how much was city versus highway driving. I have been assuming the 30 mpg is only highway. I am only hoping for 20 mpg in the city. |

9.5 L/100 km corresponds to about 25 mpg. The 2.2L engine is more powerful, I think it's 140 hp versus 105 hp. Hopefully it will achieve a significant increase in power and economy. This truck needs 30 mpg on the highway to have any chance. I am also concerned about the low power output. 140 hp for a 4100 pound vehicle seems a little low. The torque is good so I am sure it can tow 5000 pounds around a city, but I wonder if it can maintain 65 mph on the freeway while towing 5000 pounds.
The side picture of the 4 door in the second review doesn't look too bad. There was a story on pickuptrucks.com that stated bars had to be added in front of the front bumper in order to pass the U.S. crash tests. Those bars look terrible. I am curious what the final U.S. version will look like. |

Using this Aussie review, they were showing 24.75 mpg using this conversion page.
Also, this is a good page for the rest of the conversion factors. |
