I called GV USA today and was directed to speak with a Mr. Max Butler in marketing. I had spoke with Mr. Butler last November and was told any information on the introduction of the Mahindra Pick up would be in 60-90 days, after the first of the year. Dealership information would be forth coming and updated.

Well,,,today I thought I would call GV again and see if Mr. Butler had an update. He was gone so I obtained his email address and proceeded to send him the following email:

Max Butler mbutler@gv-usa.com
Pursuant to my telephone call, may this letter serve to address a void created in consumer relations, primarily we the future owners of the
long awaited small diesel pick up. By (we) I am referring to a class of individuals showing an interest in a product that has been wrought with
speculation and innuendo for the past several years.

My thoughts and feelings, I am sure, reflect those of others, in this same customer base. Is Global unable to present Mahindra & Mahindra's
"introduction" in a positive light? We have all heard that Mahindra "wants to get it right". Shouldn't we, the customers have any say in what we would like to see happen?

There is so much innuendo and speculations being provided on the various web sites. I am sure you will agree, that this form of national coverage over the internet, read by thousands and commented on by many, can damage the creditability of a product or company.

I would hope you would find it in your best interest to address these matters and comment accordingly.
Thank You

Well you make it sound like you are buying one so he really has no incentive to worry or even respond to you. You are sold on the vehicle despite all the reasons you list so I am sure Mr. Butler is quite happy.
We are all in this boat together. Ultimately Mahindra holds all the cards. They are preparing to release a vehicle that nobody else wants to sell.
I don't blame them for taking their time because no one is going to beat them to the punch anyway, so why rush it.
I just hope I can milk along my current vehicle till summer of 2011. By then I am hoping you all will have had these vehicles close to a year and can give some insight into what they are like.
I just cannot see buying one of these as soon as they hit these shores. I just can risk that kind of money.

If I buy one it won't be for a year or two also. the first ones comming out will be like taking a gamble. Mahindra might have been around for a while but so has Ford and Navistar look at the junk they put out in 04 with the Powerstroke. I bought a 04 Powerstroke (6.0 leaker) and with all the problems I have it cost double what it is really worth. No one will be happy if they have to keep taking it back to the dealer to get fixed and it never does get fixed right. These are new trucks without a record, and so is the dealer network, it could be good or could be bad we just don't know it yet that's why I won't be buying one right a way, unless the price is right. And $20000 isn't right, more like $15000, until it builds a good reputation.
