Having been a newbe on this site and following along, I am most impressed with the members and their responses to various issues that crop up. It is good to have an open discussion forum that allows all to expound on their feelings as well as understanding of the topics without becoming obnoxious if one does not happen to agree with their thinking:-)

As information becomes available, I personally would like to see a section that speaks directly to ownership issues, warranty and upgrades. It is especially important in the coming months to make these things available to the forum.

I, for one, would like someone with information to tell us what is going to happen if a dealership is located 200+ miles and the little truck needs to be towed, since they can only be worked on by a designated dealership. Also, I am concerned with glass/windshield replacement. Are any of the current market vehicles compatable?

If you have an opinion or are a dealer reading this forum, possibly you can enlighten me and others that may have the same questions.

Thank You For Taking The Time To Respond:-)

Hey Dan!
I'm not a dealer, just a car/truck enthusiast, but maybe I can partially answer a question and someone can correct me where I'm wrong...
My closest Ford dealer, where I have the 7.3 worked on when I get stuck or need special tools I don't have, and where we bought our Fusion, is 18 miles form the house over a toll bridge. It's a PITA, but it is what it is. IF the proposed Mahindra dealer's list is right, my closest dealer will be about 30 miles north, still over that bridge. But if the truck (TR20 in my case) looks good, I'd probably do it.

As for parts like windshields, I don't know the specific requirements, but I know that govt. regs require x number of parts to be kept on hand. In a previous life (pre-kids) we had a Maserati and never had problems with parts (which it needed MANY of).
hope this helps a bit.
cheers,
-pete

Default Certification

I viewed the video GV sent to dealers. They said Mahindra hoped to recieve government certification to import their trucks by mid January. Does anyone know if this has happened?
