Register to stop seeing this ad! With the latest news from MahindraScorpio Replacement and today's article in the Online WSJ M&M may assemble at Navistar Has that changed your thoughts on buying a TR. I'd have to think carefully now. Is the Scorpio based pickup only going to be manufactured for a year or so? Will there really be no difference in price between Indian and US made trucks? (Chicken Tax) It seems like now I am thinking about taking a chance on not only an un-proved truck but one that may be short lived or over priced (taxed). Some one from GV or Mahindra really needs to address these questions. |

Posted the WSJ article this morning, myself: Mahindra US TR20 &TR40 in March, Deliver in April
The way I am interpreting things so far is: The new platform will be a premium/luxury truck at a higher price. It will definitely be the next SUV, which we we likely get. It's unclear if that platform will actually be the basis for a new pickup, but could be. It would be nice to get clarification, but I would bet that they would want to sell the current TR configuration for at least a few years to get some ROI.
