This is an interesting article on how Ford avoids the chicken tax with their new van (errr, I mean Wagon) that is built in Turkey. Wish Mahindra would finagle something like this.

I wonder if the Subaru Brat thing would work. Bolt a couple of plastic seats in the bed and suddenly it's not a pickup any more.

Interesting article. I've seen those new Ford "wagons" around. Seems like a waste of good seats though.

Good find on the Transit Connect articles, clubgitmo. The Chicken Tax is such an outdated trade rule. We'll have to see how savvy GV and Mahindra are in circumventing it.
