Default Mid May-Latest Date.

I e-mailed my local dealer as to when the TR-20's would be coming in and his answer was "Hopefully, mid may!!!!!!"

Lots of time for them to build that million dollar addition on their dealership.

Lame! Sorry to hear that...

Did he say that was a company wide thing, or just that specific dealership?

Bwahahahahahahah!
I almost sprayed my tequila on the screen from laughing so hard!

I got ten bucks (friendly bet) that says they won't make it to the States within the 2010 calender year.
If this is their jump off, I can't wait to enjoy their service.

No Doubt

The more I read, the less I feel like being a guinea pig for Mahindra's first production run.

First production run? Hardly. They are already producing these vehicles for other markets.

The same vehicle that will be sent to America? Seems many changes are being made to the truck that will (might) get sent to North America.

I remember when Ford introduced the Focus to North America. The car was already in Europe. (though named something else) However, the first year for the Focus in N.A. was plagued with first run issues. Nothing major, but not something you'd want from a brand new vehicle. Will Mahnidra have capabilities to stand behind their trucks if numerous problems pop up? Or will this be like KIA in the 90's... Those POS's almost literally fell apart as you drove em off the lot

Anyone remember the Vector W2? "Here's the car!', 'Wait, no it isn't.' 'Ok, here it is!', 'nope, nope, wait a sec..."
Still hopeful, but...

Default a different answer

I happened to call the Mahindra dealer (or is that potential dealer location?) in Sarasota FL this morning, asking about when they expected to get their first shipment. They believe they will be in the first group of dealers to get stock, and they still think sometime in February. I asked about pricing, and the salesman said the pricing hasn't been set yet (beyond low 20's). I had to ask didn't they know how much they were going to have to pay for the trucks they have on order? (If someone else had asked that it could have come off as kind of a smart-ass question, but I, of course, handled it tactfully). The answer was yes, they knew how much they were going to have to pay, just not exactly how much the trucks would retail for.

His words exactly:

"Hopefully, mid may!!!!!!
Have a Blessed Day,"

Chapman Auto group is a large dealership in the Philadelphia-New Jersey area.
#1 Volume Dealer in the Philadelphia Region and Market, with 1 sale every ten minutes. So my guess is that they would be towards the top of the list.

Default I'd rather be in Philadelphia

I don't know what their logic is, someone answers the phone at GV if you call,so it's not that there's nobody home. I had read that the "roll-out" would begin in the Southeast U.S., and spread from there.
