Default Who here would like Global & Mahindra to tell us the truth?

Real simple. Do you buy into Mahindra's corporate rhetoric, or would you like a bit of glasnost honest openness?
A simple yeah or nay will do, but if you'd like to expound a bit further, feel free.

And hey, if ya feel the urge to torch me in gasoline for being a critic, knock yourselves out.

Everyone likes openness... Is there something specific? I feel like I''m not in the loop.

What is the hold up? From what I know their date has been February 2010, and so far there is nothing that contradicts that. Unless you have heard something we haven't?

Actually, they've pushed the date back several times now.
All I want to hear is a small bit of honesty from them. Just a tiny bit. Nothing major.
And Andy, of course as owner of this page and your wish to have limited access in the future, I understand that you won't allow yourself to bang on their front door. I understand your position very clearly.
On the other hand, as a pure consumer, I have the privilege/right to question any and everything. In any and every way I choose.
If they don't or refuse to answer, it'll simply reflect on their company in two ways.
(1)Their real commitment in bringing their trucks over here.
(2)Their sales numbers.
Remember, the internet is forever and folks who Google their name in the future will see my thoughts and comments here and at other sites.

GM has several pages where they post info, and if you know and understand the company, it's rather simple to decipher.
I suggest Mahindra do the same, though it might not be within their culture to be forthcoming on a regular basis.
If that's the case, good luck selling trucks in Texas.

Dick,

I agree with you about no feedback from GV/Mahindra.

Ya know since you live in the DFW area it might be worth a visit to see Bob Luecke at DFW Mahindra also owner of http://www.sellharleys.com in the DVW area. He is in the position of having bought a franchise in Perez's (head of GV) aborted Cross Lander and now in GV's Mahindra imports. It would be interesting to see how much confidence he has in GV for the second go round with them.

No thanks, I'll pass on Bob and his store.
His Twitter posts aren't really untrue by any stretch of the imagination, but they do fall under classic used car sales bulsh*t as noted here on my webpage.

In that post, I stated I would be buying a 4wd T40 when they hit the ground.
(It's easy for me to write a check, promise)
In between Mahindra and Global's lack of honesty and openness, I've decided to hold off, in order to make certain their trucks, as well as their franchises, hold up under the scrutiny of the US consumer.
If Bob's any indication of their typical dealer standards, I'll simply go buy a Ford, as I will not play games with dealers, nor manufacturers.
The New Ranger, complete with a diesel will be here soon enough.

One thing I don't get, and never will because the logic doesn't exist is, why are individuals who aren't on a payroll standing up for a company they've never done business with?

Ha, Ha

Never noticed the "visit Dicks homepage" link before. And I was not about to google your username. LOL

Your page is very entertaining. It will provide me lots of entertainment during work on Tuesday.

I've e-mailed GV several times trying to find out who my local dealer will be. No response. I just imagaine that it will be the used car salesman from True Lies.

The more I think about Mahindra, the more I think about keeping my 250.

Better plant lots of curry, 'cause I don't think India will be selling many cars

Default OK

So your basically saying that in your mind untruths are being said because the corporate can't give a firm date. A date that will change based on what out government agency's do.

I am not surprized or upset by the delays that are occurring. I suspect they people at the corporate offices were being optimistic and got burned.

So I can't see that any dishonesty has occurred.
