If I've done my conversions right, it is about $4.16 a gallon here.

I know, but I can dream can't I??

the 2.0 turbo would be a good engine for a midsize truck withthe torque curve of a diesel, the power of gas and mileage inbetween the two with lower costs than diesel but higher than a larger gasser.

I think Ford missed the boat a bit on the 3.5 Ecoboost, it should have been a 3.0 with slightly reduced but still strong hp and torque figures. the mileage would have improved even with the overweight design.

They missed the mark by about 2-3 mpg . Right now I am more interested in the 3.7, the one I drove had great power for a v6.

They were going for the 3.5 to be the towing engine, not the MPG leader

a 3.0 with 360 hp and 360 lbs would still be a towing leader with the flat, broad torque curve. IT would have saved some more fuel too. Of course so would a 700# diet

For all the smart asses I checked 4 gas stations today and DIESEL prices were from a low of $3.559 to a high of $3.699

Good to hear. If I were to buy a truck RIGHT NOW, the V6 F150 would be it. Hell, it's got more power than the first generation 5.4 modular motor which they put all the way up into the F350's.
