Ford Announces Fuel Economy Figures for 2011 F-150 EcoBoost V-6 - PickupTrucks.com News

I am dissapointed too. I was really thinking it would be 17/23 for a 4x4 and 18/24 for the 4x2. I think Mike Levine pointed out that this is rated using the 3.73 gears that I wouldn't have so the highway mileage may be better with the 3.31 (lowest for a 4x4, I think) but not really for the city.

I can live with the same mileage as my Mitsu Galant (20.5 mpg to 21.0 mpg combined rating) but I am doubting I can match it with the new Ford 3.5 EB. the 2014's with 500-600 less pounds and likely a better Cd may be what I have to wait for unless Mahindra decides to show up to play.

On a side note did anyone else see the new "global" Ranger tow the 160 ton (320,000 lb) steam locomotive? It was on Autoblog yesterday. If Ford can make a smaller version of the truck (say 7/10th's the size of the F150 and not 9/10th's) that can tow a measly 100 tons with a 3 liter diesel I'd be happy, but of course no one in the US market wants that product.

I'm not impressed at all with these numbers. I finally got the Ranger on the road again. A wire in the harness fried and burned up the alternator and battery . For what I do and tow the 3.7 would be fine.
