Default I do not Believe Mahindra

Their claim of 30 MPG is an outright lie in my humble opinion.

It might be true for highway mileage on a 2wd reg cab, but that's it.
If you're considering a 4wd crewcab, 30 mpg isn't going to happen; Anywhere; anytime.
Maybe 25-27 mpg, if you're lucky.

Mahindra, sorry. After all of your other lies, why should I believe a single word you say?

No lies from Mahindra. They've provided an 'estimated' fuel economy number. And just like every other vehicle manufacturer, they quote a highway MPG number for their most fuel efficient vehicle. Standard practice it seems. It would be unrealistic and stupid for Mahindra to hit their target MPG number with their LEAST efficient vehicle.

Default Mpg

VWs Amarok 90kw,4motion lititure lists 44.7 to 46 MPG hwy.
(6.5-6.7/100km) so it very possable for the TR-40 I would think.
Oops, That is 35-36mpg

I stopped believing them long ago. It's scary that a year or so back I was ready to buy a Mahindra, I'm just glad they have shown their true color before I wrote them a check...

I bet 30 highway isn't too difficult. the TR 40 4x4 might be but name another crew cab truck that can tow 5000# with 4x4 that gets even 25 mpg. News flash there isn't one in the US.

We'd have to harp on every automaker for quoting only their hypermile vehicles that sell probably 4% of the total. The new Chevy Cruze is a great example. yeah 42 highway if it is the special fuel economy model with a manual only. That model will likely account for less than 5% of the total Cruze sales but they still get to claim the highest effeciency for a non-hybrid small car (should be mid-size based on EPA volumes)
