the extra 10 hp is measurable on the butt dyno? I doubt anyone could feel that difference although it probably does sound different. I have done that on a couple of vehicles I have owned and the main differences I noticed were sound and runnign a bit cooler due to more air. No real measurable performance gains (at least not by my butt measurement)

When I get a new camera I will take some pics of the stock air system that came off.I still have a hard time believing the engine could breath at all.Yes of course it does sound different,if you get into the throttle.Just normal driving you don't hear anything other then the exhaust rumbling. What is vastly different is the throttle response.....huge difference, and lastly,I chose the model of Volant cai after comparing flow rates for everything available for my truck.K&N,some models of Volant,AFE,Air raid etc.The one I bought has 99.9% filtration,(much better then anything k&n sells)and almost 900cfm flow rate. The highest I could find.As for HP increase,I have no idea.I will however find out shortly what the increase in mpg is gonna be,and that is more important to me.When you ran your cai,did you still have stock exhaust?Makes a big difference when both ends are freed up.

stock exhaust so I know I was limited since it takes both inhaling and exhaling to make everything work at optimum.

Is your's the 5.3 or 6.2?
