I agree 100% about the Liberty being uncomfortable The seats are rock hard and a killer on long drives.

I'm a fan of the Cherokee (XJ) and have a almost perfect 2000 Classic version the wife drives but fuel mileage is not a strong point on the Cherokee.
I've got a tune on my Liberty and it goes from 290 ft pounds at 1400 rpms to 335 at 2000 rpms. After Chrysler's effort to save the TC we had 260
Our first jeep was the 2001 Cherokee (XJ) and after 180k miles we gave it to one of our boys.It worked flawlessly with only routine maint. The 06 libby crd was beautiful but god awful to drive in terms of comfort or any kind of back support. It was,as I said, the single worst vehicle we ever owned in terms of comfort. The 08 JK that I bought new,and still have is a joy to drive and wheel except for the totally anemic 3.8L sh!tbox motor.Even with the SuperChips Flashpak it is still nothing more then a polished turd.Give me the same thing with the VM Motori 2.8L and watch the HUGE smile on my face while I'm towing a camper down th' road.
