Mileage sux expecailly after my Golf Tdi. But I did not think my 250 would make it through the summer, especially on my island, when you have to drive through SALT water ever time the moon is full.
Ahhhh, where in the heck do you live?

Ocean City, NJ. NJ, and a lot of the east coast have barrier islands about 1-2 miles off shore. So it's ocean in front and bay behind. Storm drains run from front to back. When the bays are high, full moon or blow in tide, the water runs out the storm drain, across the street and down through the next one until it gets to the ocean. Not all the streets flood all the time, but it makes getting around town interesting.

17 isn't nearly as bad as I would've thought (15) considering the 4x4. Honestly, that's only about 3 mpg less than I'm getting in a half ton Chevy/reg cab/2wd.
Sounds like ya've done yourself good.

Guys Im not buying a new GM anything so Im not sellin nothin BUT, my 8000 lbs plus 4 door 4x4 dually duramax gets 14 in town and I could coax 17 out of it on the hiway.
Granted there is a price difference but I do have up around 400 hp and can pull 6 or 7 small trucks if needed.
17 mpg suxs.

Interesting, I had no idea. I'm west coast born and raised and never knew all those little islands created that type of driving dynamic. Ah, it makes me appreciate the west coast that much more....
