Default Mahindra's Global Reputaion

Register to stop seeing this ad!

Although these trucks are new to the US, they have been sold in Asia, Australia and South America for quite some time.

In the US established brands have earned a reputation for being tough, economical, or cheap and poor quality. Craftsman tools are high quality, Chevy trucks last a long time, etc. etc. My question is what the reputation of Mahindra trucks are in the markets where they are an established brand.

Can't tell you reputation, but Anand Mahindra's philosophy was summed up in a recent tweet.

From what I know Mahindra has enjoyed success in all their markets. Their mHawk clean diesel engine, co-developed with Bosch, has received plenty of accolades. I also read somewhere that they’re in the top 4 passenger UV brands globally. The company is also on the Forbes List of the 200 Most Respected Companies in the World.

And consider their US tractor business – they’ve enjoyed success since the mid 90s.

I think reputation wise we’re all good. Now’s let’s just hope they bring the trucks soon! I’ve been dying to get my hands on a compact, diesel-powered truck.
