PeeWee posted this link in the Scorpio forum: Mahindra Scorpio VLX 2.2 mHawk BS IV Road Test - Sting in the tail - CarWale.com

It's a test on the Scorpio with the latest gen 2.2 mHawk and a 5-speed manual with the Mahindra 'microhybrid' (engine cutout) electronics (not possible on the autmatics we will get). They averaged 23.5 mpg, and had a worst case mpg of 17.8 mpg. Their sheet also lists it as having 4.5 gears. Like howam00 says, unlikely for the US with the automatic. It will be interesting to see what they get... when we get them.

Hi! Dick When the info on the Mahindra first came to my attention I thought it would be nice if they offered a gas version with a small block v8 version similar to the old chevy 283c.i , with the modern technology. I owned a chevy vega 1971 with a 283 powerglide awesome car to drive. Also I had a1983 ford Ranger with a 255 v8. Like I said before that ranger should have come like that from the factory. It had very good performance and good gas mileage. Tell me what you think.
