You could be right.I have pretty much lost interest for the short term (until they get there act together)..I still read the forum , it's interesting... Mahindra would have been alot better off to have hooked up with anyone other than GV. Some of you have suggested Navstar, and called it the new Scout, I think that would have sold? But it could be the reason GV has been so none responsive to potential customer is they know Mahindra does not have its act together??As of now this whole thing is a mystery ..Where is Scooby Doo when ya need him lolol.......

I think you are right Dick. I am getting over my hopes of owning one.
To be honest I am very excited about getting a Tacoma. Test drove a couple, love how the feel and ride. In fact, I may have a hard time spending $25 K for a Mahindra when you can get a very nice Tocoma TRD for $28K, that would be safer, and a better investment.
So, my thing now is waiting for the 2011 model arrives, since there are rumors of a phyiscal change and/or of a new engine, more fuel efficient V6.
That got me all pumped now!!
Even if nothing much change on them. I would still be very happy with a V6 Crew Cab, long bed Tacoma.
How about you guy? What would you guys get??
PS: I hope Mahindra will arrive before the new Tacomas do, but if the difference of price turn out to be only $3K or so, I will still get the Tacoma V6 gas, just because I don't feel like buy a new/unknow car with a Dealer over 80 miles from my house!

I wouldn't be surprised if Mahindra doesn't show up this year. I don't there's any realistic chance they will be here before fall.

I am most likely going to be getting a Tacoma or Frontier this fall. There was a dealer a couple of miles from my house that planned on selling Mahindra, but got fed up with waiting. I was hoping to look at the Mahindra, but the nearest dealer may be over 100 miles away.

My reservation about the Frontier and Tacoma is mileage. If the 2011 Tacoma gets a more efficient V6, it'll be my first choice.

Yea, I won't take that bet. If we were seeing mainstream magazines run articles on Mahindra with test drives of vehicles, if the EPA declared Mahindra had passed their testing 2 months ago, and the fleet of test drive trucks were already making the rounds in the U.S., I might believe we'd have a chance to buy one of these trucks this summer. Since NONE of that has happened, I pretty much agree with Dick.

I'm in no hurry to buy a new truck, but Mahindra sure isn't doing themselves any favors in this market.
