Hey all we received a call from our Mahindra rep today explaining that the EPA is taking a little longer due to the 25 test units they have not having enough test miles on them. They had 25 units with 70000 miles on them and in the US you have to have 25 units with 100k miles on them before you can get the info to the EPA for certification. Not very uplifting but at least we heard something for once. They have people driving the test units 24/7 and should be ready by next week to submit for cert. I will keep you posted with anything else I learn.

If their running 24 hours a day ( very hard to do ), and their going 70 mph all the time ( very very hard to do ), looks to me like it'll be 2 and a half weeks.

I could help them out if their drivers are getting tired.

I am sure that there are about 500 of us willing to pitch in. Send some to Idaho and we can do some cold weather testing right now!

Actually using some resonable math it will take about a month to finish getting the miles on these rigs. Even at interstate speeds.

I'll take a turn driving! I can run it down the Padre Island National Seashore and see how the 4wd works in the sand. Or the River Road down the Rio Grande at Big Bend National Park for a little rock climbin/desert duelin.......

Thanks Pete for the update.

Seriously I could give one of the trucks a good ozarks work out, instead of all those easy interstate miles.

I'm surprised that Mahindra didn't know the requirements for testing. It just doesn't sound reasonable.
I hope I'm wrong, but this appears to be just another in a long line of excuses for not delivering on a product that many of us have been waiting a long time to see.

Mahindra, if you are following this forum, please prepare a Black TR20 4x4 deluxe w/ towing package delivered to northern California.
