that particular piece can't happen anymore. with computers, advanced emmissions, electronic systems you can't simply put a wrench to anything anymore.

I guess its a good and bad situation at the same time. I think you'll get the rest of what you wanted though.

my whole reason for waiting for a mahindra is the diesel engine. why not buy a truck that will last 10+ years, and with proper care 20+ years. Look at ebay and see what older diesel cars and trucks are worth. I figure i will get a spray in bed liner, i will also see if they wil spray the bed liner in the rust zones of the truck. I figure if i can keep the rust out, this truck will run for a long time.

forgeblast.

Rust prevention is a very serious thing in the "rust belt"
Has there been any articles where they say Mahindra's paint is better then a Mercedes like the Hundye body coming out of a e-coat bath shown on TV commercials?

My last mini truck was a 1982 Datsun King Kab with their diesel engine so I've had first hand experience with rusting. Even my pampered 1985 F-150's bed rusted out badly.
I hope they've put some serious effort into rust prevention.
Even the over rated Toyota has been plagued with it to the point of buying 10 year old trucks back because of frame rust
