I also got tired of waiting. I just bought a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI with 49,000 miles on it. I did not want to wait any longer for a diesel. I could not stand the front of the Jetta so that was not an option. I plan on driving the Mercedes for a few years and then seeing what else (with a diesel) has arrived on the market.
My old vehicle was a 4-cylinder ranger which got me 24 mpg. It was not a bad truck and i drove it for 8 years but I missed having a diesel. Why no one makes a compact truck with a diesel for the American market is beyond me. I guess for a lot of guys it is just not studly enough to drive less that a full size truck with a V8 even though it only gets 16 mpg.
I still plan on visiting this forum. I love diesels and wish Mahindra and all those waiting for one all the luck in the world.
