Register to stop seeing this ad!

They should be hitting the lots right now actually. Multiple magazines have already done tests on them and if they live up to the Ford/Magazine hype, its going to be hard for Chevy or Dodge to outperform the new Scorpion diesel platform.

I think there should be a baby scorpion. Say a 4.0 liter 300 hp, 480-500 lbs of torque enginge for the half-tons and maybe as an entry for the F-250. They have motors at least this strong in other products and with smaller displacement so I don't think that the power level is outlandish.

Oh well I can just keep dreaming!

My 7.3 runs 235hp and 500lbft. But I reckon anything can be done...

A lot of improvement has happened in diesel tech ovr the last ten years. now 80hp/liter is normal for cars and anything less than 120lbs/liter is wimpy.
