Honestly I no longer consider myself a Mahindra customer in waiting.. I gave up a while back but I do enjoy reading here and keeping up on what's happening .. If it does make it here I now believe it will be the next Yugo.

You can travel to Cuba, just not by direct flight from the US. You can't buy anything while there though Cash only, but there is nothing stopping you from going.

One of my work buddies went to the Caribbean in December and made a day trip to Cuba.

Sure you can go to Cuba, just fly out of Vancouver! Friends just brought me cigars from there!

To be precise, you can get to Cuba from those other countries, but you can't do it legally. I used to think I wanted to visit Havana, but really it was the old Havana of Hemingway's days. As for the cigars, you can get just as good from Domenican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras these days for a lot less money.

I got to sail to Cuba in the 1999 Tampa to Havana race. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed Havana. I found Havana just like many Euro cities, except it was rather run down from lack of funds and neglect. You can still see the glorious architecture and the people were very nice to this American.
