We've gotten a chance to witness a company (m&m) behaving in what I consider an ugly fashion, so I would be more inclined to buy what I wanted from one of the others. I haven't been so attuned to Ford, Toyota, et al., so there may have been other examples of companies (like the harley example) being unreasonable or outrageous that I'm unaware of. One reason we don't currently have a hard working compact pickup in this market is that companies are afraid to lead the way, and until someone like Mahindra shows up to prove there is an abandoned market here it is unlikely to happen. It is true that the large number of buyers want big, cushy commuters with an open trunk, but there is enough of a market being ignored to justify at least one or two manufacturers' efforts to serve our admittedly small segment. Even if Mahindra never shows up, there is hope they got the ball rolling.
