My 4 popper tacoma can tow my trailer w/ a tracker on it and all my camping gear and a passanger. The truck tips the scale right around 4K. The trailer and all the crap is close to 4500 lbs, give or take. Pulls and stops fine (trailer brakes). It's just not all that fast! And the 4500 is over the factory limit for towing capcity. This truck with a good deal more power, will not have issue towing 5K.
