To respond to your concern about this trucks ability to haul and tow the rated numbers I'll give you this.
The truck I will be replacing is a I-6 300 gas engine F150. Its pretty much shot, tired, worn out etc.
If memory serves me that engine was about 190HP and the torque was 200 something ft -lb new. It towed very well over the years and hauled about every thing I could throw in it. The TR40 will also but not be fast when loaded.
I think the torque of the I-4 diesel's torque will offset the lower HP and do well performing to the rated numbers. It will not be a hole shot vehicle passing everything on the road. It will be an adequate vehicle to meet the occasional need for hauling and towing of an average person who is active.
It really changes the game since now you dont need a truck for work and a car for higher mileage. I'm dumping 2 and going with one, the TR40.
I will be test driving one ASAP and I will give my opinion of it here for all.
