I bought a new 2005 CRD Limited. Now have 102k on it. Mileage in the 22-23 range mixed. Tons of torque, 4x4 is fun in the winter snow. Only negative is dealing with Chrysler. Own two will never own another. Chrysler is so hard to contact I'm not really sure they exist!
Small pick ups are the future of the market which was dominated by 150 and 1500s. Diesel is a great option. When "experts" say Americans do not want small pick ups that is flawed thinking. What option do we have? Buy a Silverado rated at 20 mpg or a Frontier/Tacoma for the same money and only get 17 mpg?????
I'll keep running the CRD, mileage improves with age, great tow capacity. Offer a solid pick up with 25+ mpg and I'm on it.
