The 2 seats would only work for a single person or a couple with no kids. Three seats would fit my family of three people and have a lot more bed hauling capacity than the TR40.
I think businesses would prefer the bench seat as well, especially if we are going to get the upfitter ready, chassis cab trucks like Australia.

It would be cramped w/ three across. Just like my old S10 was. And back then I had little kids. I've had regular cab pickups for a long time, and a mess of kids. Hardly ever had three across. That's what the station wagon was for...
If anything I'd think they'd want to extend the bed length on the '40 to at least 6 ft like the optional bed on the Taco...
